If doing a lot of rentals, you will probably want to scan in bikes from your product lines from a sheet like this:

(you can create this easily using Word (or similar) and pasting in product images.   Generate your barcodes using a free service like Tec-it  )

here you are scanning in product lines, not specific products.  2 scans of the same product will put a quantity of 2 in that row.

Please note - you will need to make sure you setup an ID2 for your Product Lines that you want to scan in.

The cool thing here is that it lets you operate at high speed, like a retail Point of Sale system. (but for rental)

Let's say I have a group of 3 guys and one girl come into the store, I scan in

3 x male  (i.e. the 'male' barcode 3 times)

1 x womens and I end up a BRM looking like this:

1) scan in product(s)

2) they appear in the 'cart' / availability panel in BRM:

This will speed up your rental process, especially if you are:

  • operating in GBAL mode
  • renting packages frequently
