Understanding the Difference Between the Two Lightspeed Workflows

There are two main workflows when integrating Lightspeed with BRM (Booking Reservation Management). Below is a breakdown of each:

  1. Lightspeed → BRM:

    • This workflow is used to create a new reservation in BRM and complete the payment for it in Lightspeed.

    • Additionally, customer information from Lightspeed is sent over to BRM, ensuring that your customer data is synced.

  2. BRM → Lightspeed:

    • This workflow allows you to add new transactions to an existing reservation in Lightspeed.

    • It also enables the creation of new customer profiles in Lightspeed directly from BRM.

Recommended Setup for Efficient Workflow

To make the integration seamless, we recommend having two browser tabs open:

  • One for Lightspeed,

  • One for BRM.
    This will allow you to quickly switch between the two platforms and manage your reservations and transactions more effectively.
