Printing and emailing rental disclaimers / waivers

When you rent out your bikes you're going to want to make sure that the customer has signed your disclaimer / waiver.

You may want to do this digitally to avoid printing onto paper - see the link at the bottom of this page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disclaimer

This makes the rental contract between you and your customer very clear and sets clear boundaries between what is your liability and what is not.  We recommend you get appropriate legal advice when drafting your version of this document.

you can specify your disclaimer text in your settings:

SETTINGS > GENERAL > STORE DETAILS

Please note, if you use multiple languages, this feature is supported in multi-language.

This will then be included just above the signature line in the invoices that you print / email:

Print directly from your rental

  1. Press the orange Print button from the Reservation Detail Panel
  2. in the popup press the green print button
  3. (you can either print to paper or a pdf document)

We recommend that you keep your disclaimer short and sweet, and refer them to a FULL PRINTED COPY clearly displayed at your point of sale:

e.g."I confirm that I have read and fully understand the Terms and Conditions of XZY shop - as displayed in-store"

and optionally:

"I confirm that I understand that the bike(s) are my sole responsibility whilst in my possession"

** DISCLAIMER ! - please seek legal advice before publishing and using your own disclaimer, its validity will depend heavily on the jurisdiction in which you are operating.
