Change the order of categories, product families and product lines (sizes)

You can choose the order your categories, product families and product lines (for example sizes S, M, L, XL) appear in on the Inventory page.

Dragging is switched off by default, because it's easy to move things by accident, especially on a touch screen. You need to switch it on first.

How to change the order

1. Go to Inventory.
2. In the panel on the side of the page, under Actions, switch on Enable dragging.
3. Open the category or product family you want to reorder.
4. Drag each entry up or down into the order you want.
5. Wait for the confirmation message (for example "Product line ordering updated") before leaving the page. That message means the new order has been saved.
6. Switch Enable dragging off again when you've finished.

What can be reordered?

• Categories
• Product families within a category
• Product lines within a product family

Individual items within a product line can't be dragged into a new order.

Dragging only changes the order, not the structure

You can't drag something into a different category, product family or product line. For example, you can't drag a product line into another product family.

If the order doesn't save

If you see a message saying the ordering failed to update, reload the page and try again. If it still fails, contact support.
