Let’s say you rent ski equipment and downhill mountain bikes.
For skis, you might want to ask about DIN settings or snowboard stance. For MTBs, you may want to collect the rider’s weight to correctly set up the suspension.
Of course, you don’t want to ask every customer all of these detailed questions. Instead, you can tailor the questions to the specific equipment being rented — making them product-specific.
For skis, you can collect DIN information:
For bikes, you can collect rider weight:
This article explains how to set that up.
First, configure your customer data with all of the questions you might need (for example, both ski and bike questions).
Then, you can narrow the list down for each Product Family, ensuring that only the relevant questions appear for that type of equipment.
For example, let’s say that for bikes you don’t want to ask about snowboard stance. Navigate to the product family in question and locate the Customer Data section at the bottom of the page:
Open this section and untick any questions that aren’t relevant for that product.
(In this example, we’re unticking “stance.”)
Now, when you go back to the Customer Booking Page, you’ll see that the irrelevant question is no longer shown.
Only the product-specific questions you’ve chosen remain visible.
