The core concept of the planner is that it is all on one page
You have two key views, depending on what tasks you want to complete
- Product - to view your products and when they are booked (and not!)
- Reservation - to view your reservations
Product View
This is to help you do the following:
- Just look at your bikes and see how many bookings you have - for a given timeframe
- Actually make bookings - in the gaps between your bookings
Short animation of how you can use Product View:
- select one or more categories to look at
- as we bring back bikes we leave 'category chips', in blue, at the top so you know what you're looking at
- you can simply change dates using the calendar to see activity for your selected bikes
Reservation View
This is to help you do the following:
- see which reservations you have for a given timeframe so you can manage your day
- find a particular reservation - for example if you have a customer in front of you, or on the phone
Short animation of how you can use Reservation view:
- we start off looking at reservations for this week
- then we switch to just showing 4 days next week by dragging and dropping those dates in the calendar
- finally - we hit the recently created quick search to see new reservations
Changing between the two Views
But the really clever part is the interaction between the 2 views.
Just one example to illustrate the point:
Let's say you want to search for New bookings (ie recently created)
- So you go to the Reservations View and hit the 'recently created' quick search
- It retrieves your reservations that were created recently
- Then you can click on the Product View to see which bikes are involved in these bookings
