The order your categories appear in on your Customer Booking Page is up to you — put your best sellers first rather than leaving customers to scroll.
Where to do it
Go to Inventory > Shape. Your categories are listed there in the order customers see them.
Switch on dragging first
You have to switch on Enable dragging before you can reorder anything. It's off by default, so the list looks fixed until you turn it on. This is the most common reason reordering appears not to work.
With it on, drag categories into the order you want. Turn it back off when you're done to avoid moving something by accident.
The order is shared across your whole store
There is one category order for the whole store. It is not per offering and not per location.
This is worth being careful about: the Shape page can be filtered by offering, which makes it look as though you're setting the order for that offering alone. You aren't — reordering while looking at one offering changes the order everywhere your categories appear.
New categories
A category you've just created isn't in your saved order yet, so it can appear in an unpredictable position. Drag it once to where you want it and it'll stay there.
Things to watch
- Check your booking page afterwards to confirm the order looks right to a customer.
- Categories with nothing available to book won't appear online regardless of their position.
