If a price group, discount code, customer field or delivery field has a forward slash (/) in its name, you may find you're unable to edit or delete it — the action doesn't go through. This is a known technical limitation: a / in the name confuses the web address the action uses, so the request is turned away before it reaches us.
What to do
Because the slash blocks the edit itself, the safest fix is on our side — so please contact support and let us know the store and the name of the item you're stuck on. We're also alerted automatically when this happens, and we'll rename it for you so
you're unblocked.
Avoiding it in future
When you name a price group, discount code or field, avoid using a /. If you want to express something like “adult / child” or “per hour / per day”, use a word or a dash instead — for example “adult & child”, “adult - child”, or “per hour, per day”. Other everyday punctuation is fine; it's specifically the forward slash that causes the problem.
Already have one you can't change? Don't worry about deleting it yourself — contact support and we'll sort it out.
